1968 (G) MGB Roadster 1.8

Here at RFH Classics we welcome back this superb condition 1968 (G) MGB Roadster 1.8 that we sold to a long term customer just over 3 years ago. Presented in the popular Tartan Red this car comes complete with the Black Leather seats that are piped with a matching red edge that really helps give the interior a genuinely nice look. As mentioned, we had the pleasure of supplying this car 3 years ago to the former owner who during this time has maintained the vehicle to an excellent standard with it always being dry stored.

This roadster has been the subject of a complete rebuild in the early 1990’s when, with the benefit of a new heritage shell it underwent a full restoration of the mechanics too. Since then the car has remained in excellent condition as shown in these pictures today. The car has excellent gaps demonstrating the care taken during the restoration and the car as well as being excellent on top, is lovely underneath too. The cabin of this MGB is in incredibly good order throughout with the carpets and trim all being lovely. To compliment the lovely interior the dash features the Walnut style finish with a matching wooden Mota-Lita Steering wheel and gear knob. When the roof, which is a clean Mohair upgrade that fits perfectly, is folded down there is a half tonneau to cover the roof frame and improve the overall look of the car.

Under the bonnet sits a 1.8 4 cylinder lead free petrol engine that quickly fires into life with minimal choke when cold and quickly settles to show an excellent oil pressure both when hot and cold. The car has a four speed manual gearbox that benefits from Overdrive for 3rd and 4th gear. We can confirm this is all working well and the car now benefits from a new starter motor we have just fitted. The running gear is in excellent condition as are the wire wheels that help set this car to stand apart.
