This is an excellent example of the rare pull door handle model MGB Roadster, with what we believe to be the correct mileage since new of 89,770. The car has been in the same ownership since 1992 and is for sale only due to lack of use by the current owner – in fact, it has been used sparingly throughout its life, whilst being been very much pampered. It was obviously extensively restored prior to 1992, but remains in lovely condition throughout. The bodywork, including paintwork and structure, is excellent, and the underside, as you can see from the photographs is very good. The leather interior, carpets and dashboard are once again in equally good order. The pack-away hood is like new, and there is a full length tonneau cover, again, unmarked. The desirable chrome wire wheels are well-shod with matching tyres. As you can see, the under bonnet is nicely detailed and the boot is carpeted. This is the sought-after pull door handle model, with its original 3-bearing engine and synchro gearbox. It is nice to see that this car remains in original, non-overdrive spec, even down to the nice spoked steering wheel. Driving the car is great fun, with bags of power from its strong engine, complemented by a quiet gearbox and back axle. Just in case you get caught in a rain shower, the hood fits well. Comes with original jack, almost new copper wheel hammer, and file of paperwork which includes old MOT certificates from 1991, and current MOT certificate to 3rd March 2026. The Handbook appears to be original and in mint condition.
