1982 (X) MGB LE Roadster Special Edition

Now in stock with us here at RFH Classics we are pleased to bring this 1982 (X) MGB LE Roadster Special Edition that is finished in its factory correct Bronze Metallic with an upgraded Black Leather interior. The MGB LE was the final Special Edition of the MGB produced to mark the end of UK MGB production but is a late registered example as production ceased in 1980. Just 420 Roadsters were built with the UK cars all being finished in the Bronze Metallic paintwork with unique LE decals, a front spoiler and traditionally were fitted with the specially styled GKN Alloy wheel, although this example was originally ordered and supplied from new with optional wire wheels. We have this confirmed via the accompanying British Motor Industry Heritage Certificate supplied with the car.

This car has a low recorded mileage and has come to us from the estate of its previous owner who as a family owned the car for the past 19 years and having just three keepers from new. While the car shows a low recorded mileage at this point, we cannot verify it due to the absence of supporting history although additional documentation may follow in due course.

The car is offered in excellent condition and has clearly been very well cared for. We would suggest the car has been the subject of a very well executed older restoration reflected in its condition today. The car largely remains to the original specification although the Deck Chair cloth trim has now been replaced with Black Leather Seat covers which complements the Bronze Paintwork very well. Under the bonnet the 1.8 Litre 4 cylinder petrol engine is running lead free and paired to a four speed manual gearbox with Overdrive to 3rd and 4th. This MGB LE Roadster is an excellent opportunity to acquire an exceptionally clean example of Britain’s most beloved sports car. While the car lacks a detailed history file, reflected in the asking price we feel its condition speaks for itself and it is ready to be enjoyed as a stylish classic with a genuine collector’s pedigree.
