Resplendent in its Vermilion Red paintwork, which is generally in very good order – just a few blemishes – it stands well on alloy wheels with four hardly used quality tyres. Door gaps, being original, are excellent, and the underside of the car is very clean and tidy all round. A Webasto sunroof, probably fitted by the original British Leyland dealer at the point of sale, works easily, and is a great advantage for the summer months. These GTs are very versatile and seem to go on forever. This particular example drives just as it should do, with everything working properly as far as we can see. The interior, again, is in good order, with excellent headlining, seating (which has been recovered) and good door cards. A wooden steering wheel has been fitted, which suits the car very well. It starts easily, runs well, and there is plenty of power from the engine, good oil pressure, and a nice gearbox, with responsive overdrive. The car performs very well, with good handling – Spax shockers have been fitted to the rear. Altogether, a very nice car which is a great pleasure to drive, and very reasonably priced. Paperwork includes Heritage Certificate, file of old receipts and MOTs, V5C, MOT to 24/4/26, handbook and original British Leyland Passport.
