We are pleased to offer for sale this MGB that has been in the same family ownership from new, first registered on 1st March 1977. The family advises us that they believe the mileage to be correct, having been driven by only their father and mother during their period of ownership. The car has had several periods of very low useage, hence the low mileage which currently reads 32,358, and we understand that this is correct up to 2018 (supported by the MOT certificate for that year). Unfortunately, the odometer stopped working around this time, but the car has not been used since then, other than a recent run to the MOT station where it passed its test with no advisories in May of this year. Paperwork includes the original V5 from 1977, later V5, when the car was transferred from husband to wife, and current V5C. The car is in good condition, including its very original bodywork, paintwork and interior – as you might expect, there are a few blemishes on the paintwork. The Webasto sunroof, more than likely fitted by the dealer from new, is still in good working order. The wheels have been refurbished and the current tyres were fitted in 2018. The panel fit, including doors – being original – is of course, very good. Driving this car is just as it should be with an MGB – easy start up, good performance and oil pressure and no overheating. Quiet engine, gearbox and back axle – all working well, as does the overdrive, and all resulting in a well-performing motor car. Original examples like this are very difficult to find.
